Pleasant stay but not for everyone

I had something to do around Sathorn area, so I chose this place and absolutely glad i found it! Stayed for few times, rate was very affordable but this is not a hotel, or a real apartment in Western world, it is typical local Thai accommodations. Few floors with over 10 rooms, all with balcony. Rooms are clean and furnished. It is a quiet place to stay except not enough lighting in the room. Most of the rooms are for long term rental, if I m correct. The receptionist and guards are friendly and helpful, but only the receptionist can speak English, however she works from 9 or 10 am till evening. So for those who have early checkin/out or late checkin, it's better to contact the staff before arrival, otherwise, the guard cannot answer or explain anything in English. Daily housekeeping and they have coffee and teabag refilled, simple but nice. They also provided some simple utensils, such as bowls, forks and spoons. Some may feel the mattress is too hard, but it is definitely not comfortable as in hotel, however, it is just a normal type of mattress in Thailand. I feel it is still acceptable. Microwave available on ground floor for use, and hot water provided there. I remember they have laundry service there, but I never tried. Wifi is great, it is quite fast in Thai standard but it can connect to one device only! Since Double Two is located in residential area, you won't expect anything to do at night, so it is not suitable for party animals. As far as I know there isn't any restaurants around, however, there is a small local Thai noodles place around, where it is closed at 12 am, 2 mins walk but no English speaking, decent food though! I know a lot of people feel the area is inconvenient, however, I love the location because there is a BRT station with 3 mins walk, it will take you to BTS Sathorn Station in less than 10 mins. I love this so much, at least i don't have to take motorbike or taxi all the time. I will definitely come back again, a very decent place indeed!

Reasonably priced no frills Hotel in a good area of Bangkok. Clean good sized room with a nice bathroom and separate shower. Has small refrigerator and coffee pot. Close to street vendors and mini marts.

I stayed at DoubleTwo for eight months. Very pleasent expierence. Nice staff(especially the attached laundry service). Functionally furnished rooms, not too noisy nor any other problems. Prime location especially when working in the Sathorn area. BRT (which connects to BTS) is only a three minute walk. The only downside of living in such a residential area is the lack of shopping opportunities and restaurants. the next 7/11 is a 10+ minute walk. (Fair enough there is a family mart about 5-7 minutes away - but thats already a lot for BKK :) ) But in general a very nice place, fair priced. Not much English but they do their best to understand ones' Thai :)

i arrived at 4;00 in the morning at the airport and the taxi driver called the Double Two for me and they waited for me at the end of the road which has some construction to help me check in. This morning, she gave me a good map of Bangkok and told exactly how to get to the Grand Palace, which is about 30 minutes away ( bus, skytrain and then ferry). Very nice staff, limited English. Clean room, hard beds. Not a very happening neighborhood, nice and quiet.

Double Two at Sathorn, Bangkok จัดเป็นที่พักราคาไม่แพงกลางเมืองกรุงเทพฯ เดินทางสะดวก บางช่วงเวลารถอาจจะติด แต่เข้ามาในซอยไม่ลึก รวมๆถือว่าใช้ได้ หน้าปากซอยมีร้านอาหารตามสั่ง ใกล้ห้างสรรพสินค้า มีทั้งรายวัน รายเดือน พวกรายวันต้องจอดรถซ้อนคันกัน
